Introducing - Melanie Ash

Hailing from Preston, Melanie Ash is a successdful television actress, currently starring as lead 'Lisa' in Casualty and returning character 'Colleen King' in Emmerdale.

Mel studied Acting and Directing at Manchester Metropolitan University before moving onto the Manchester School of Acting where she gained a LAMDA Diploma.  

Her theatre credits include Alice Through The Looking Glass for Fools Gold Theatre Company, Robin Hood And The Babes In The Wood for Pele Productions at The Charter Theatre and most recently she has appeared in the award winning Looking For JJ for the Pilot Theatre Company.

However Mel hasnt always been an actress, As a child she appeared on the kids TV show 'Wac 90' and 'Come Dancing'. at 15 she was dancing professionally and was the British Latin American Formation Champion.

 

Besides working as a professional actress and voiceover artist Melanie also runs her own acting school/agency and drama training company, Mel@drama, training the next generation of young actors and actresses in Lancashire. 

Recently this has included West End star Josie Cerise!

 

Considering himself as a bit of a thespian, Lancashire One's Josh Marshall decided to head down to Ashton and give it a go himself.
