Thousands of local residents turned out in force to support this years Penwortham Gala.
The Gala kicked off on Saturday lunch time with a parade led by the Gt.Manchester Fire Service Pipe Band.
They were joined by the Gala queens from Lostock Hall, the Bamber Bridge Morris dancers, the 5th Penwortham Scouts and children from the local schools.
After the parade the crowds made their way to Hurst Grange Park to enjoy the celebrations.
