The Mr Digwell Road Show

Date: 17/11/10

with Paul Peacock

This year, Lancashire One are teaming up with gardening expert Mr Paul Peacock to produce a series of programmes about how not to lose the plot without green fingers.

Since the Second World War 'Mr Digwell' has been offering tips and advice to gardeners all over Britain in their home and kitchen gardens, through a weekly column and often a cartoon in the Daily Mirror newspaper.

The current 'Mr Digwell', Paul Peacock will front a programme that will support and advocate the same Digwell ideals that have ran through the brand for the last 70 years, being the incentive to 'grow your own' food and how to get your fingers dirty, whether in city or suburbia.

Along side a series of gardening tips and advice, we will be running the Digwell Road Show, in association with the Daily Mirror. We plan to bring a spectacle to garden centers across the country and the county, that will be turned into a series of Digwell specials.

The Digwell Road Show will include bringing a Antiques Road Show feel to an Alan Tichmarsh like environment, with an event designed to draw crowds, enthusiasts and clients to each center housing the show.

Gardener's Question Time, cooking demonstrations, tools and equipment advice and of course gardening demos, the road show would make up as many as three programmes for Lancashire One, and would offer greater exposure to the garden center through both Lancashire One and the Mirror, and serve to spread awareness of the Digwell and Lancashire One brands.
